Recovery Update

Though the road to recovery after brain surgery is not always the most pleasant time, Janeen remains stable. While experiencing expected nausea, she is responding in all the ways requested of her.

Dr. Strang has stressed the importance of quiet surroundings and much needed rest during this extremely important time of recovery.

Janeen will most likely remain in ICU throughout the weekend so she is assured as much attention and rest as need be.

We will keep you all updated....

Thank you all so much for all your thoughts and prayers during this time, they have done wonders for her and her family.

  2. Thank YOU for keeping us posted. Those of us not able to be there truly appreciate you keeping us up-to-date.

Love to Janeen and her/our precious family standing watch at her side and giving her comfort!

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

  3. Janeen:

I just left you at the hospital.. I am going to be honest I was not really sure I wanted to see you in ICU. Now that it is all said and done I am so glad I made it in to see your smiling face. You looked great and I am so proud of you for all the obstacles you have already overcome. I can't wait to see your progress first hand day by day.

Hang in there lady, you are on the road to a wonderful recovery when all this will someday be a story we will tell! I love you more than you will ever know!

    xoxo Alice

  5. Way to go Janeen!! Josh and Alice said you looked great and are wearing that beautiful smile of yours. Take advantage of the quiet and pampering while you can--you deserve it. Before you know it you will be chasing those two girls around and wishing for a little quite time.
    Keep up the good work!

  6. Neena-
I am praying for you! I hope everything is speedy and successful. I love you like a sister and I know it will all be alright.

May today there be peace within
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be
May you use those gifts that you have received and pass on the love that has been given to you
May you be content knowing you are a child of God
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

  7. Janeen,

You and your whole family are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you a fast recovery. It is a strange life we live. I am often in a situation that takes me back to a memory or place from my past, and it becomes clear to me at that moment why I had to endure a certain trial or situation. Someday when this is all a memory and you have moved forward in life, you may be in a situation where you are the one that will have the words of wisdom and peace to comfort a friend or loved one. It will be at that moment that you will remember this time and know because of it, you are stronger for it and using it to to bring peace to someone else. God Bless you and your family.

  8. Janeen,

You are in our thoughts and prayers as you recover from this 'bump' in the road of life. Just know that God is with you because of your faith and that of all those praying for you right now. You know we love you (you too, John!)and hope to see you real soon.
