“God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.”— Author Unknown
The day before yesterday Janeen was told of her diagnosis. Her tumor is, in fact, malignant…. Brain cancer explained as Medullabastoma. This type of cancer is mainly found in children, except for the special cases found in adults. For all of us it feels like we just got the wind knocked out of us. However, Janeen’s reaction with unspoken words was much different. Her facial expressions and body language did the talking, as she adjusted her seated position to raised shoulders, conveying a sense of strength. It seemed she was really wanting to say, “What a relief to know! Now let’s get going, because it’s go time!”
Tomorrow morning Janeen will be undergoing crucial tests to determine the course of her treatment going forward. At this time it’s important that we focus our prayer in the next 24 hours for positive test results and clear direction.
Here is one of Janeen’s favorite Bible verses which is comforting and encouraging her each day:
“I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Now, more than ever, Janeen and her family ask for your positive thoughts and powerful prayers. We will keep you updated as more information is received.

Another step in the road---but you can do this Janeen!! Round up that wonderful team you have and kick some major butt. You keep that strong positive attitude and your faith and nothing can touch you. Strength in numbers girl and you have that. Lean on them--pick your feet up one at a time--and keep on keepin on! Next year you can help someone else and tell them what you did to get past all this.

ReplyDeleteCome to me and rest in my loving presence. You know that this day will bring difficulties, and you are trying to think your way through those trials. As you anticipate what is ahead of you, do not forget that I am with you - now and always. Rehearsing your troubles results in experiencing them many times, whereas you are meant to go through them only when they actually occur. Instead, come to me and relax in my peace. I will strengthen you and prepare you, transforming your fear into confident trust. (Matthew 11:28-30; Joshua 1:5, 9)
thank you for sharing your strength with all of those around you. we share your confident trust! :)

ReplyDeleteWhen I think of you, I think of your smiling face and an amazing presence...we all just felt good being around you! And even in the face of this, it seems you are keeping that amazing spirit! I know with all my heart that you are going to kick this cancer's BUTT! I will be praying hard. Our bible study girls are praying hard for you too. You are wrapped in love and prayer. Please, if there is ANYTHING any of us can do for you please let us know. As for now, I am telling everyone I know to pray hard for you and the whole family. Stay positive and know that you are stronger than this cancer is.

Janeen,
ReplyDeleteObviously you are pulling strength from a source other than and greater than your own. I know that you will find a never-ending supply. Thank goodness, because my tank would run out way before His. I am thankful that you are surrounded by a beautiful, loving family. I am praying for you and them as well. I know you can finish this thing off!

Janeen it is amazing the roads that God sends down and it is impossible for us to know why. Just keep the faith that he is in control and through all his light will shine through you. I pray every night that he blesses you with his strength and blesses the doctors and nursres with you as well. Angela and I will continue to pray for you and your family. Stay strong Love Kenny and Angela
