I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. First and foremost, I want to thank my very special friends and family for your prayers, love and support! Your texts, e-mails, and special notes have meant more to me than you'll ever know. I feel so loved! I truly have such a wonderful group of people surrounding me, and it has lifted me up and carried me through these trying days. Due to the overwhelming support that I have recieved, I'm unable to respond to each one of you. Please understand how grateful I am and know I honestly appreciate all the thoughts, notes and powerful prayers.
I want you all to know how amazing Dr. Strang is. Not only do I feel safe and secure, I also feel very blessed that God brought him into my life. I have all the faith in the world in him and feel so lucky to have such a skilled surgeon performing this procedure. Not to mention the fact that he has sweet hair....what is my obsession with hair lately??? :)
We all know how powerful prayer is! Keep 'em coming!! Please leave a comment-I'll look forward to reading them and hearing from all of you. Also, my dearest friends will keep you updated on my progress and I will be back soon.
Much Love to you All,
Janeen

ReplyDeleteHello Janeen. I don't know if you will remember me, but I went to Glendale High School and graduated in 1997. My maiden name was Melody Reed. I recently heard about your diagnosis and wanted to let you know that I am deeply sorry. I faced my own battle last year when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 28. I too started a blog not only document every aspect of my journey, but to keep friends and family up-to-date on my progress. One of the scriptures that really gave me strength was Jeremiah 29:11. It made such an incredible impact on my life. Your faith and positive attitude will make a huge impact not only in whatever you may face, but in the lives of so many others, many of which you may never even meet. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless!

Janeen, this is Kevin Stratton, Chip's brother. My heart sunk when I heard. I am the Worship Pastor at Forest Park Carthage in Carthage, MO. Please know that my entire church is praying for you. I am sending out an email and announcing it amongst our leaders. I pray that God would comfort your heart and your family, and that He would rap you in His arms all the way through this. You know the Stratton's love you! We are praying!
ReplyDeleteJaneen,
ReplyDeleteHang in there. God never gives us more than we can handle. Unfortunately, that means the toughest people sometimes have to go through the most difficult challenges. I will keep you in my prayers.

ReplyDeleteJaneen,
ReplyDeleteI just found out about your situation last night. I immediately starting praying. As I read all these amazing comments from your loved ones I realize I was not the only one to lift you up in prayer. It says in Mt. 18:20 "For where 2 or 3 come together in my name, there am I with them." One more verse I cling to almost daily and know you can too is Phi.4:6&7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer & petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts & minds in Christ Jesus." You and your family will continue to be in my prayers! Love, Amy B
